Holistic Integrative Psychiatry

FAQ's

  • Telemedicine is the use of your cellphone, tablet or computer during a video chat for your psychiatric meeting needs. This service allows for increased flexibility in talking with your provider as you can do it from anywhere, even the comfort of your own home, office or car. By using telemedicine you will be able to ensure your continued care without disrupting your busy schedule.

  • Holistic treatment focuses on treating the whole person, considering physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, often using natural and lifestyle-based approaches. It is like caring for a tree - attending to its roots, trunk, branches, and leaves to ensure overall health and growth.

  • Integrative psychiatry combines conventional psychiatric treatments, such as prescription medications and psychotherapy, with complementary strategies to support overall well-being. This approach can include specialized lab testing to identify specific health concerns, nutraceuticals which are natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals, plant-based medicines, and supplements. It offers personalized care, providing options for those interested in approaches or exploring additional treatments for mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders, all grounded in evidence-informed practices.

  • Choosing an out-of-network provider like me means opting for a level of care and attention that often goes beyond what is typically available through in-network services. Here's why working together could be the best decision for your mental health journey:

    • Personalized Attention: I dedicate ample time during and between visits to truly understand your needs and work closely with you on your personalized goals, ensuring you never feel rushed.

    • Trauma-Informed Care: My approach is multidisciplinary and trauma-informed, meaning I respect and honor your experiences, wisdom, and preferences in every aspect of your care.

    • Integrative Psychiatry: I specialize in evidence-informed, integrative psychiatry, offering a blend of traditional and alternative treatments that might be hard to access in more conventional settings.

    • Convenience: Enjoy easy scheduling and direct communication with me between visits, making your healthcare experience hassle-free.

    • Investment in Well-being: Working with me is an investment in your health and well-being, focusing on comprehensive care that aims to address not just symptoms but the root causes of your concerns.

If you've found the standard 15-20 minute, medication-focused visits insufficient and seek a more involved and holistic approach to your mental health, partnering with an out-of-network provider like myself could offer the depth and breadth of care you're looking for.
